★★★★ Not since Barrie Kosky’s The Wilderness Room (1995) have I seen theatre that engages the mystery and tradition of Judaism with such profound depth.” CAMERON WOODHEAD – THE AGE

Two children create a documentary of a history they cannot remember.

Inspired by the biblical BOOK OF EXODUS, Fraught Outfit’s latest production is a radical, poetic response to an ancient narrative of plagues and miracles, violence and division, punishment and liberation, the drowned and the saved.

BOOK OF EXODUS is the final instalment in Fraught Outfit’s Innocence Trilogy, which also includes ON THE BODILY EDUCATION OF YOUNG GIRLS (Neon Festival 2013) and their highly acclaimed production of THE BACCHAE (MIAF 2015, Dark Mofo 2016).

Theatre Works is proud to present BOOK OF EXODUS in two parts; Part I premieres in June 2017, and Part II at Theatre Works in October 2017.
