Theatre Works and Fraught Outfit present
Book of Exodus – Part II
18 October 2017 - 29 October 2017
A mass of children wait in the desert. With no leader to guide them, and no one to answer their cries, they summon an unruly force.
Performed by children, PART II traces a community propelled from a violent past into an uncertain future.
Inspired by the biblical text, BOOK OF EXODUS is the final installment in Fraught Outfit’s Innocence Trilogy, including the radical, acclaimed production ON THE BODILY EDUCATION OF YOUNG GIRLS (MTC, Neon Festival 2013 in association with St Martins Youth Arts Centre) and the unnerving, surreal teen drama THE BACCHAE co-produced with St Martins Youth Arts Centre (MIAF 2015, Dark Mofo 2016).
Having presented Fraught Outfit’s poetic reinterpretation of Ingmar Bergman’s PERSONA (2012), Theatre Works is proud to premiere BOOK OF EXODUS in two parts.
Part I premieres in June 2017, with Part II, the final installment, being presented at Theatre Works in October 2017.
60 minutes. No interval.
