St Kilda Tales: A Performance Rave
30 APR - 10 MAY | EXPLOSIVES FACTORY
by raimondo cortese
St Kilda Tales is a play made of interconnected stories, born from the streets of St Kilda. Originally produced by Malthouse & Ranters Theatre in 2001 as part of the Centenary of Federation Festival, it enjoyed a hit season and subsequent European tour.
Now, 24 years later, Raimondo Cortese writes a new script for 2025; a snapshot of street life and rave culture in St Kilda right now.
The characters come from all walks of life. They inhabit the stage, party together, and reveal aspects of themselves that usually remain hidden.
