EXPLOSIVES FACTORY

A space once used to manufacture fireworks, our second venue is just as much a part of St Kilda history as Theatre Works itself.

Located at Rear Laneway 67 Inkerman Street, St Kilda (behind the Thrifty-Link accessed via Lyell St and Market Street (both off Inkerman). 

Explosives Factory is a versatile workshop, studio and development space complete with accommodation, a bathroom and kitchen facilities.

This space is the home of our new residency program RADAR (Regional Artist Development and Accommodation Residencies) and provides year round rehearsal space to our partnering artists. The venue will also be activated as a 60 seat versatile performance venue for our festival programming and if needed provide a smaller and more intimate venue for works less suited to our main space.
